WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I first met Michelle on a yoga retreat in Bali. We did classes with her twice a day for a week. She was so wonderful that we organised online yoga classes with her from Australia during COVID lockdowns. Definitely the highlight of my day on many occasions! Best memory was working on crow in Bali. Michelle is so clear and patient, and after a week (despite trying and failing for years), I managed to nail crow pose for the first time! /


Michelle provides very targeted and constructive adjustments during class. I take these reminders with me into every class now as part of my practice, particularly the adjustments for fundamental poses like warrior. Michelle is such a clear communicator. Her verbal cues are some of the best I’ve come across and always on point! Michelle also has an amazing energy, and I’m so grateful for her sharing that with us. I always come out of her classes feeling zen and ready to take on the day!

Michelle not only introduced me to yoga practice but also developed my love and appreciation for it. I’ve had the pleasure of taking her classes at Modo Yoga in NYC as well as personal 1-1 classes for the past few years. Personally, learning with Michelle’s guidance and mindful approach to wellness and yoga always made me enjoy yoga more and feel a tremendous sense of wellbeing, strength and joy.


My fondest memories with Michelle have been taking her classes at Modo NYC, which left me feeling rejuvenated physically, mentally and spiritually. Her amazing ability to guide a room and help you feel more connected and rooted with your practice and body is truly inspiring. I was always a bit timid and stressed with the idea of a full yoga class, but her approach and teaching methods made it so easy for someone like me (a beginner) to find comfort and strength. These classes helped positively shape my view towards yoga.


Michelle’s strongest asset is her authentic and genuine self. Her personality, warm nature and dedication/love of what she does shines through all her classes and interactions. In addition, she is extremely well organized and understands the nuances of communication and management.

Having the pleasure to have known Michelle for over ten years, I have had various experiences with her yoga classes including in person group classes, semi-privates and one-on-one and more recently her online recorded classes. Her classes always weave a strong mind body connection. One of my favourite experiences with Michelle was doing yoga in the park post-picnic with a group of friends. These moments exude her playful and caring approach as well as her whole-spirited dedication to yoga and wellness.


One of Michelle’s strongest aspects as a teacher is her ability to connect your mind, soul and body. Although physically challenging, her classes spark the spirit and breath. Michelle’s experiences in both formal corporate studios and one-on-one settings allow her to be both dynamic and versatile in a team setting. This ensures that the team as well as each individual has a positive experience.

I love Michelle’s classes for many reasons. First of all, I like her energy and I like her as a person and it’s very important for me to feel connected to the teacher at the yoga classes. The most flowy, sexy and well paced Vinyasa classes I’ve tried in Bali.

 

Secondly, she leads the classes in a way where there is enough space between the poses to stretch and breathe (compared to some other teachers who rush them so much it’s not enjoyable for me). I love the way she is so attentive to what’s happening in the room and will approach u to adjust your pose if needed. I love the flow of the poses that she chooses, it’s all just perfect. I always leave her classes more energised, but also more peaceful and overall as a happier person.

Michelle’s voice is very pleasant, soft, calm and peaceful. It was a good asset to make me connect to my inner-self. Michelle is a very soulful person, kind and light hearted and that is really obvious to surrender to you. Life saving ! She took me to the Water Temple in Bali which is the best thing ever happened to me so that is quite memorable!
